- The type of milk affects the ice cream's texture and
flavour. Low-fat milk produces an icier ice cream; buttermilk
is also low in fat, but will give you a creamier result than low-fat
milk.

At home, immediately unpack ice cream and place in the coldest
part of the freezer, not in the door. Keep freezer control set
at 0¾F or below. As soon as you've finished scooping, tightly
cover ice cream and return to the freezer. To help prevent ice
crystals from forming, press a sheet of wax paper or plastic wrap
on surface of ice cream before covering with lid.
